We support you and are here to help

Welcome

We are California Healthy Workplace Advocates, a 100% volunteer citizen-lobbying group with NO dues or fees required.  We are also 100% against bullying and harassment at work plus workplace abuse, We were established in 2004.We are now a tax-free 501(c)(3) corporation so that you can donate to us free of Income Tax.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of California Healthy Workplace Advocates is to raise public awareness and compel our State to correct and prevent ABUSIVE WORK ENVIRONMENTS through legislation and end bullying and harassment at work. Going to work should NOT hurt. We now know that bullying not only has mental effects on the targeted person, but that there can be some long term physical effects.

Now There Are Many Ways To Join Our Cause

Now you can take your choice as to how you support our cause against workplace bullying. You can be active as a member, which there is no cost to you but your time donation, you can donate money and take the amount off your taxes as a donation.  Any donation in kind is also a tax-free deduction to us. If you want to make a large donation, we ask that you talk to your tax advisor first, since we do not want to see anyone with good intentions get penalized for their good intentions.

Why The Change in Organization Structure

Because of our ongoing advocacy, we found that we were getting asked by organizations for training materials and some of these materials take a lot of time to make, including guide books , power point presentations , etc. These all take a lot of time and money.  Therefore, we needed to formally organize the organization. Those that are members, you will not see any changes, except that you can now deduct and contribution to us as a tax-exempt charity.  If you wish to support our advocacy against bullying in the workplace. All donations will go to further our efforts. Please donate here:

Our Website is Designed to Educate The User on the General Knowledge of Bullying in the Workplace

According to our mission statement , our first charge is to educate the public on bullying in the workplace and the major issues that it causes to the targeted person via mental health injuries and physical health issues. Also, we have tips to help you avoid these issues that cause mental health injuries. Some of the physical issues may not show up until decades later.

How We Can Fight This Together. We Need Volunteers

Let's End Bullying and Abusive Behavior Together

We are made up of a wide variety of individuals who have been bullied, turned to advocate against this sort of behavior, former union stewards who have fought against this sort of behavior in a professional setting, Psychologists, Lawyers, nurses, doctors, accountants, etc. We have all turned advocates. But there is an old union saying, "There is strength in numbers.

Therefore, we are seeking volunteers to help us with our campaign to get new laws passed in the legislature.  Right now, in California, Bullying and Abusive Behaviors are legal.

We are a non-profit corporation that is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. We made up of a group of people who have experienced workplace bullying and harassment want to be part of social change. We advocate for laws that will correct and prevent   bullying and harassment in the workplace and we welcome you to join us in anyway that you can,

Email Us  to be added to our private email list.(All of our Activities announcements come from this system)  As you may know, there is NO LAW prohibiting “status blind” harassment, abusive behaviors such as  workplace bullying. We want to transform our pain into meaning by getting a law passed in California and across the United States to correct and prevent workplace bullying, much like the sexual harassment laws now do unlike workplace abuse, which is only illegal in governmental offices. Private sector offices, it is still legal in California. Workplace Bullying is still legal within California, both in the public and Private sectors.

One way s to join as a member of our group and just donate your time  and come to the member monthly meetings to learn more about the subject of bullying in the workplace and advocate with us as a knowledgeable advocate.

Secondly, you can now donate money tax-free to as a registered tax-free charity. All donations of either money or in kind are welcome.

A third way is any combination of the two combined.

Proclamation

Bullying is a systematic campaign of interpersonal destruction that jeopardizes your health, your career, the job you once loved.

Bullying is a non-physical, non-homicidal form of violence. Because it is abusive it causes both emotional and stress-related physical harm.

Freedom from Bullies Week is a chance to break through the shame and silence surrounding bullying. It is a week to be daring and bold.

The power of workplace bullying is its ability to stay hidden in plain view. Make every workplace safe and take a stand against workplace bullying!

Dr. Namie Freedom from Workplace Bullies
